She/Her
Hi! My name is Adi Keynan (she/her), and I am a final-year undergraduate student at the University of Winnipeg, pursuing an honours degree in Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Bev Fredborg. My thesis explores the experiences of mothers living with HIV, in collaboration with the AllTogether4IDEAS research Consortium (University of Manitoba) and HEART Lab (University of Winnipeg).
Over the years, my volunteer and research experiences have shaped my interests in trauma, addictions, socioeconomic factors, and psychosis. I’m committed to understanding how diverse lived experiences shape emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, and interpersonal dynamics, while also examining how systems and services can be improved to better support individuals and reduce access barriers.
I’m thrilled to join SPECTRUM as a student fellow. I believe that too often there is a disconnect between government, services, and academia. Having a platform where all come together to collaborate and reduce barriers is crucial for meaningful progress.
